Telkom charged for non-rendered services

We requested to have the land line move from our previous address to the new address, without success. So we requested Telkom to close the account for the previous address. The assistant @ Telkom Woodlands told us that we could use 3g instead of landline and gave us a sim for a trail for 2 days to test the coverage (without charge). We went back to the branch and requested to open a 3g account and cancel the trail sim. He directed us to Telkom 8ta instead, as 8ta was running a promotion on the same package that we were interested in. However, we subsquently received an account for transferring a landline and for the trail sim. We went into the woodland branch and informed and lodged a complaint in this regard. We were told that they would update the records accordingly and the landline was indeed closed and we don't have to worry. But today, we receveid a call from debt collector for the "outstanding account".
