My instalment of R2227 for my personal loan went off on the 22/02/2013, instead of the 26th. I received the sms on the 23rd and called Nedbank immediatley. I was on hold for a total of almost 2 hours and spoke to 4 different call centre agents who either cut the call or transferred me without assisting me. The last person I spoke to was Simon Mothape, who insured me that his supervisor would call me back before the end of business. But I didn't receive any calls.
I have R56 in my account. I tried explaining that my money had to be reversed immediately as I was totally broke and only get paid on the 26th, but they refused to help me. I was told to contact FNB and request for them to reverse the debit order. I think that is just pathetic as Nedbank debited my account, not FNB!
I feel that this is ridiculous, as their customer service is terrible. They were aware that there was an error on their system, and a number of debit orders went off incorrectly, yet they did not reverse them. This is unprofessional and has left me in a terrible financial situation!
