I filled in all the required forms online to open a new cheque account. On the phone I was told that all I need to do is go to the bank and show my proof of address, payslip (initially I was told this is not required) and ID and I will get my card. So fine, I got all the necessary documents together.
When I get to the bank, they say that I need to fill in the physical forms again on paper so I have to stand in the long queue for sales. What is the point of filling in a form online if I have to fill it in again on paper and stand in a long queue???
I only am free on Saturdays to do all this admin work. Why am I being told different things on the phone and different things at the bank. I am going to stay with beep bank if this process doesn't get easier.
Also, for delivery I am never at home and never at the same company for longer than a day.
Why can't I just leave my ID and documents for FNB to pick up at home because my parents are always at home. Why do I need to be there?
