I am a black female residing in Kuilsriver. I went to open a savings account at Capitec bank, Zewenwacht mall today. Was helped by a coloured male at teller4. On punching in my ID he realised i had an account with them before with my maiden surname. Fortunately i had with me my old ID and a bill with my old surname. I produced the old and new ID's and the proof of address with the previous and current surname. The manager refused to open an account for me and insisted that i must bring my marriage certificate. I asked the teller to please ask the manager to come explain that to me and the manager refused saying he/she is busy. I left and told the teller to tell the manager that is the most stupid thing i ever heard. And i will never ever have anything to do with them.
