I received an SMS notification of an account withdrawal for R1000 in lake field square on Saturday 19 January 2013 while I was at my home in Pretoria. I immediately cancelled my card using the Nedbank call center which was very efficient, and went to The Grove branch to dispute the transaction. The lady at the enquiries counter explained to me that the investigation may take between 4 to 6 weeks to resolve before I can get my money back, and she said that I will receive a call to update me on the investigation within two weeks. I understand fully that the investigation may take up to 6 weeks however it is now approaching 5 weeks and I still have not received one call from Nedbank to update me on the investigation. To add to this I am a student and R1000 is a lot of money for me, so it is very important to me that I know what is going on with the investigation. Please could someone from Nedbank look into this ASAP and let me know what is going on. Your help would be much appreciated.
