Claim For Damaged Ceiling

I have a Home Loan with the above mentioned Bank. In 2010 My Geysers Pipe Burst causing Damage to my Main bedroom's ceiling. The Bank then sent out their Assessor to Assess the Claim. Within a week the Claim was Sorted and they painted my room's walls and repaired the ceiling by knocking it back up with a Hammer and Nails.

On the 9th of January this year the ceiling in my main bedroom collapsed. The Bank Sent out their Assessor (A.M Builders) to assess the Claim and we were yet to get receive feedback from them. Yesterday my Husband Called the Contact Centre quoting REF # 13-002749 inquiring what the delay was for non feedback. The Agent then informed him that the Claim was not valid due to the following:

* The Assessors Report stated that there was 2 ceilings in the Main Bedroom and that the Insurance does not cover for ceilings that was put in before we moved in my house. this being the Exact ceiling they fixed in 2010.

I am hereby outraged at the service i am rendered today as I pay my Insurance monthly & now I dread my life and that of my family every night we go to bed. Is this the level of Service I should expect from Standard Bank? Hoping for Feedback Soonest
