My ceiling collapsed without any warning.
Outsurance was contacted and they came out to assess the damage. I've received an letter rejecting my claim, due to the fact that the ceiling was connected with nails instead of screws. I've emailed my objection to Mandy Mdudo on the 28th of January 2013 and I'm still waiting on a responds.
My email stated the following:
I'm not a qualified builder and it is unacceptable to expect me to have knowledge of building, when purchasing a house, or inspect the ceiling for nails or screws.
If they are not going to honour my claim, I'll have no choice than to seek alternative insurance quotes.
I've been with Outsurance for more than 20 years.
