I have a scratch & dent policy on my car with Dial Direct. I had lodged a claim in December 2012 & they had asked me to go to an assesment & repair centre of their choice which is Automagic in Durban North. They had assessed the vehicle & qouted R14 000 to repair all scratches on my vehicle. However, Dial Direct rejected the claim as they only cover up to R3000 on scratches & dents on the vehicle. I was given the option of obtaining qoutes from other repair centres & I emailed it to Dial Direct. Those qoutes were for an amount of under R3000 reflecting panels that are scratched & require repainting. However, Dial Direct rejected the claim stating that the qoute is incomplete & being rejected as they need to repair / repaint all panels on my car. There are no other damages noted by me that I want repaired as other damages were there before I signed up the policy which are just previous hail dents which could not be removed by a Hail Removal Company & there are superficial marks that can be polished out by hand. Each time I call Dial Direct I get a reply that my qoute is incomplete & has been rejected as I need to repair all panels on my car for R3000 which is impossible.
