I am a client of Absa for 8 years have worked for Absa for 4 years. I have a credit card, cheque account, savings and I have settled my loan account with Absa in January. There were debit orders that were not authorized to draw from my account but they did and this created unpaids in my account. Lorna from Creditors contacted me in that regard and I took the option of having account stop on 2012-08-13. Now I have requested my account be lifted the hold and I'm refused of that. Busi and Lorna's Manager said its not possible I have only the option to close off the account after paying off the overdraft. Autopage were the people that caused me this whole mess and now i have also settled them so there are no debits that will surprisingly go through my account. I dont see the point of closing my cheque account and opening a new one again with Absa I can might as well take everything from Absa even my mom's accounts. I have my reasons for keeping the very same account number I could have changed banks when I left Absa but I did not.
