For years now i have been sruggling with money being debited from my account by various parties every month. I do not know who these companies are or why they're deducting money from me.
i have been to different absa branches to stop this, but they always tell me the same thing, that they are not responsible for debits on my account. Now what i dont understand is that i actually give my money to absa for safe keeping (isnt that why we bank? but they just give it to anyone as they please, anyone can deduct money from my account without my approval? How does that work? They even tell me that they dont know who the companies are that debits my account. How can they just give my money to whom ever they please without my knowledge? they are also not able to stop these debits. I have now since december not paid any money into my absa account and have been paying my bills myself, absa has taken it upon themselves to open a overdraft on my account and therefore these unknown companies have still gotten money from my account. I am now in arrears of R2000 in that account. I am so angry, i am going to close my account there and i will make it my life mission to spread the word, at any cost.
