E statement does not open

I registered to receive e-statement. I received my first statement on 25 January 2013 which contains a .emc file. I downloaded the striata reader but when I try to open, it gives an error which says "unable to decode this document". I sent them an email on 26 January 2013 REF:1028E6BA and they finaly replied on 7th February 2013 . They only told me how to download the striata reader and enter password which I already did, and it helped me nothing. I went to An ABSA branch in Langenhoven Park in Bloemfontein but they said they could not help me.
