I was asked to be quoted by Forbes, so that they could move my portfolio from OUTsurance, to AF. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! I lodged a motor vehicle claim in October 2013. The assessor went out to the repairer the next week. Since then, it has been dealing with AF. NO feedback, status updates ever received, always had to call AF myself (great service). Rental car given for 30 days. AF decided an investigator had to be appointed, which I had no issue with, except that it took in excess of 3 weeks for him to contact me. Alleged he had been trying to call me yet I had no missed calls/messages. Rental car term came to an end, no investigator appointed yet, due to AF's delay, NOT mine. Yet I was told, rental car term couldn't be extended. My claims cons.was never available, never returned msg's, so another cons.helped me. Advised that extension of the rental would be fine. Avis confirmed the same. Then 3 weeks later, learned it wasn't extended resulting in a cost to ME. To date, NO CLAIM OUTCOME RECEIVED. As a result, I cancelled my insurance with AF. However, they owe me an outcome, I paid premiums & was covered. I insist that I receive written outcome of the claim by cob today
