Bad Customer Service

I have been a customer of Alexander Forbes Insurance for a while now, paying my premiums without issue. I am now in a position where I need to claim and I am getting the worst service I have had from an insurance company. I waited 4 days for the claim forms (couldn't download from the net; also had to beg for the forms from the call centre agent), and I have submitted the claim now 5 days ago. I got an email saying that an assessor has been appointed and will call me within 24 to 48 hours. This never happened. Upon enquiring I was told that an assessor had not been appointed yet, this is after getting email confirmation that this has been done. I am very disappointed in this. My premiums have been taken without issue, but I am having massive issues now that I need to claim. Very disappointed indeed.
