Whoever approved overdraft on debit card account?

A transaction of - R1700 was approved from my DEBIT CARD SAVINGS account which put the account into an "OVERDRAFT" which is not possible from a SAVINGS account!
I am a student and have made 6 visits to the FNB The Glen branch, I've never been once contacted with feedback or information of the money out of my account! The money was taken out of my account on the 14th of January and I'm still waiting for feedback!! I've completed a dispute form, which was submitted on 17th! I had to wait 7 working days and still no result. Numerous phone calls to the FNB customer (no) care line has left me frustrated and in an overdraft (on a savings account!!). This account is used for my day-to-day student expenses, text books, etc. I have been without any funds for over two weeks now! Failing a response from FNB and a resolution by 12h00 on Friday, 7th February, will leave me no option but to refer the matter to the banking ombudsman and escalate to the media!!!
