Unauthorised debit for credit card payment

Yesterday FNB Card division debited my SAVINGS account with an amount of R1610 which I did not authorise. After staying on the line for about 45 mins with their legal department I eventually spoke to a consultant which told me the account had been handed over to attorneys. I know this and I have an arrangement in place with them. My savings account is for SAVINGS and I place money in that account to pay for my daughter's studies. This month I will be unable to do so thanks to FNB card. Surely if my payment were in arrears FNB should have contacted me and asked if the debit could be placed on my CHEQUE account? This savings account was recently opened for the purpose of paying my daughters studies but if this is how FNB conduct their business I will be closing this account to my dismay as I believe FNB have the best banking packages/options out there.
