On the 16th of March 2013 I had R69 in my savings account. Standard Bank then issued someone (not me or my husband) with R1000 out of my savings account on the same day. Note I have no overdraft or any other facility with Standard Bank, only savings. I was told by my branch that this happened because of a "glitch" in the system and I will get my money refunded asap.
I have since then been trying to get my money back, as I am now in deep trouble with debtors. However, neither Kaleb, Lloyd or Neheng (team leader) of division is willing to assist me, despite numerous fruitless and empty promises. Neither was Stella, of Complaints Resolution willing to assist, except for feeding me a bunch of.
Never have I encountered a bank that this much, and is desperate to a measly R930 from my savings account, for who knows what reason. I am now taking this to the banking ombudsman, as Standard Bank is and money-stealers!!
