I have been banking with Standard Bank for the past 20 years. I have a bank account, home loan and vehicle finance through them.
I have had a problem with my account and have tried to get hold of Home Loans, eventually Shereez Sallie called me back, apologised for causing me such stress, sent me an apology letter. However I have not been able to get hold of the Vehicle Asset Finance department. I have called and was given an email address, to which I have been corresponding. NOTHING. My e-mails to Vehicle Asset Finance started at the beginning of January, it is now the 6th of February and NOT A WORD. Wow this service is disgusting.
I have lodged an official complaint, calling Head Office, speaking to Carmen Fisher at Customer Resolution department, who begged me not to move my accounts but said that I would be contacted within 7 DAYS!!! Ok so maybe I will wait but this has been a problem.
Is the bank now too big to care about it's customers. Or are the BEE constraints forcing companies to employ people that are not qualified, not interested and not worth employing. I don't know. I am seriously gonig to move to a smaller bank.
