Lack of internal communication

Good day.

I recently applied for finance for a vehicle via a dealership. To my surprise Standard Bank declined with reason "Unsatisfactory conduct of account" although finance was approved from other institutions. I then downloaded my Transunion credit report and it appears perfect... all green. I call V&A finance and was told they can't see which account. I then called the Prestige line and was told that a consultant would call me asap. Of course i was not called on the same day but the day after and after calling in again! I was then told by the consultant it was because of an account that was already paid up 5 years ago. I was then told by the lady that I should get a copy of the paid up letter and request it from legal!!! Therefafter request a motivation via the dealership. I find this to be completely ridiculous, Vehicle and Asset finance should already have this information. Since five years ago, i have two cars financed by other banks, I've had different credit cards from Standard Bank as well. All my accounts have been managed perfectly. As a long standing client of Standard Bank I definitely expect more.

Seriously considering moving to another bank!
