Terrible service and awareness at Absa

I opened my credit card at Absa in 2004 and registered for the rewards programme. I have been saving my points and not redeemeed because I was aiming to accumulate enough to get something expensive. I called the Rewards call center today and was told that the program I was registered, no longer exists. I was given a number for Leisurelink by Devashni (0861238888) to enquire. I tried the number numerous times and the call just drops. I called Absa again and was told by Lebo that they are in a meeting and that I must try in 2 hrs. How would she know this if this is not even a dept of Absa? I asked to speak to the manager and was told that he will call me back in 20mins. Hours have passed and no call. I am frustrated that Absa failed to contact me to tell me that they were changing their rewards program and that I should redeem my points. I find it ridiculous that due to their lack of service I must spend my time and cost to hunt this. I have spent 9 years saving points to hear this??. I am appalled at Absa. I have all my accts at Absa (chq, creditcard, veh finance, investments) - you leave me no choice but to change banks. I cant do business with a back that is such a cheat.
