Outsurance claim rejection

What happened to we will bend backwards for you. I claimed for my tv which my son knocked over in Jan. I didnt even know that my policy still exists with outsurance as i have it now for - 7years. When I breifely just spoke to someone when they asked me if i have household insurance. with this i remmebered that when I bought my house my insurance was with Outsurance. I phoned in just to find out if I can claim, On this the lady said yes. Verified my details, which was also wrong, took the whole incident descriptions. Only my house address was correct. She phoned me back to tell me that they will be paying, when she started giving me the details, she said I should hold. She told me that my January premium was unpaid and that she cant go on with the claim. I asked her if I can pay it as I ddnt even know this. She said they sent me a msg. But they had my wrong cell number. What baffels me is the fact that they couldnt send one letter via post. thus wasy I would have known the policy exists and my details is wrong. I offered to pay the premium but she said Im still not covered, So what happened to we will bend backwards for you. Pathetic service for a premium.
