I have phone the ABSA card division on the 21st of January 2014 to cancel my credit card as I have paid all outstanding monies on my account. I spoke to a lady called Glamienie and she said that someone will phone me back in 5 working days to complete this request. I asked her for a reference number, but she said I must just use here name as this will be the reference number, weird! A week passed and nothing happened. I then send a email to ABSA to request the cancellation, they send me a reply and again stated that someone will contact me within 5 working day, but NOTHING. Now since my first request to cancel and close the account, I have been charge interest on this account and service fees. I must state again that this account is in the positive and not negative. So again I paid extra monies to cover these cost!!
I will not be paying any more monies to ABSA for this credit card account I need them to come to the party, give me a service and close this account today!!! I have always been a loyal client and paid every month on time, but they treat me like a piece of, not exceptionable. I will also be closing my other account with them due to a lack of service.
