On the 11/01/2014 I went to the Jacaranda centre to open a cheque account. The person handling my application told me that he needs clearance on my card and I can collect it within 5-7 working days (clearance will happen on Monday 13/01/2014. I sent this person an email on the 14/01/2014 to follow-up on the release of my card, NO REPLY! On Saturday, 18/01/2014, I went back to the branch to enquire about my bank card. Upon arrival this person told me that he was out of office but he'll quickly get clearance on my card. After about 45 minutes I was informed that the card was released and I should AGAIN come back within 5-7 working days, but if I collect my card from the Gezina branch, it will be shorter. On 25/01/2014 I went to Gezina to pick up my card. I asked the lady to please register me for SMS updates. She said it was done. 3 Hours later I swiped my card... NO SMS. I called customer service and the guy on the other end said my account is not registered but he'll register me. My notifications worked. On 26/01/2014 I went to the ATM to withdraw money but my request was declined because there was no ATM limit set! I am not impressed with your LACK of BASIC service delivery!
