Shocking service as usual

I went to Standard Bank Castle Walk on 20/11/2013 to request that my replacement credit card be sent to this branch. A consultant made contact with the card division my telephone, and asked me to make this request directly. I made this request (ref. no: 1221007714) on this day even though my card only expires at the end of January 2014, as I am accustomed to Standard Bank's very poor service levels. On 08/01/2014 I went to this branch to collect my card after giving them in excess of 1.5 months notice. To my dismay, the card was not available for collection, as it had not been sent to the branch. I then discussed my situation with a branch representative who followed up on the situation (ref. no: 56622902). On 09/01/2014, I received a call from a card division representative who assured me that I will receive the card at the branch some time next week. It is utterly shocking that these extremely low service levels are the norm at Standard Bank in recent years. My various poor experiences with Standard Bank show an organization that is either incapable or unable to deliver service levels that are acceptable or comparable to their competitors
