Sms notificatio

On my current account when I purchase using my card an sms will be received stating that the transaction has gone through and a balance will show. Few days down the line that transaction will be deducted from my account without an sms notifying myself of such a transaction. I only pick it up when I verify my balance after seeing a discrepancy in my balance. When I raised this issue with the bank none of the consultants can give me a clear answer. They say the bank can't make a double transaction yet it has done so a number of occasions.
