DO NOT SWIPE YOUR CARD AT DISCHEM

I purchased some items at Dis-Chem Benmore to the value of R806.30, the lady assisting me Thandi swiped the card twice because apparently the first time it gave an error and did not go through, i swiped again and both times i entered my pin. i went to check my bank statements and they show the transaction went through twice. i called Dischem and they referred me to Standard Bank because according to them they did not receive the amount. I went to Standard Bank Benmore and the first consultant gave me a print out of my statement and said i should go back to Dis-Chem, at Dis-Chem conveniently they printed a copy of their receipt which i was not given by Thandi showing the that the first transaction was declined. i went back to Standard Bank and they opened an enquiry and advised it would take 12 days to see what happened. All I want to know is WHERE IS MY MONEY? its not in my bank account and how can Standard Bank not know where the money is? why do these financial institutions give us the impression that its safe to swipe your card and that they have put the neccessary security measures in place and when things like this happen nobody knows, you given a TAT of a 100 days
