DEBIT ORDER NIGHTMARE (FNB REF: RG13060345372)

I received my smart device in January 2013. I advised the call centre to change my debt orders to the 1st of every month as I get paid on the 27th of each month and should the account be debited on the 25th there would be no funds available for payment.

The call centre agent advised me that this would be fine as the monies would be deducted once my salary gets paid as the amount of R 249.00 would stay in overdraft until the funds were transferred into my account.

This indeed happen for February 2013 and March 2013. However since April 2013. FNB stopped this from happening, and they said this was due to changes in their policies and not to be in arrears and penalities changed I requested in April for my debt orders to be changed to 1st June 2013.

I then inquired in May 2013. I was then told that my debt order would commence from the 1st June 2013 and I had nothing to worry about.

The 25th May 2013 came around and I was yet again debited for the R 249.00

Being furious; I called again requesting confirmation of my debit order change and none could be provided. I waited for the 3rd June 2013 leaving sufficient funds in my account yet no deductions were made.
