Bad Communication resulted in bad credit record

My car had an accident and the insurance payed what it could and i was short of R8000. I then called wesbank so they could explain to me how i was going to pay the short fall and I was transferred to a legal department. i was told that I was covered by Hollard for short fall and that I should not worry, after 14 days everything will be sorted and I will get a feedback.

Along the week during that time i called the department twice asking about the progress and both times I was told that it takes 14 days and i will get my feedback then and that all is in order.
On the 15th day i called again since i hadn't received anything the previous day. I spoke to Beatrix, she was helpful but told me something that shocked me. The lady who was handling my acc was on maternity leave and she had not submitted my claim because some proof of payments from my insurance documents were not obtained!! And that its going to be another 14 days as they are going to start afresh.

I patiently waited for 14 days. yesterday I was trying to get finance for a new car and was told that i can not get finance because i have a shortfall

Nobody told me this! i want my name to be cleared so i can get proper finance
