Proof of insurance to cold callers

I received the following SMS '...please be advised you have failed to send WESBANK PRIVATE FINANCE, a division of Wesbank, proof of insurance on your... We will be loading a limited insurance cover until proof of has been received..'
In response:
1. I did not receive any request from Wesbank for this information, I did however receive communication from Hollard (a known spammer) on several occasions.
2. I, on several occasions informed Hollard that I was not prepared to supply them with any information and would they should get someone from Wesbank to contact me directly.
3. I'd prefer it if Wesbank did not hand out my personal information to third parties as this leads to unsolicited engagements.
4. I had this exact discussion with Wesbank with my previous Wesbank vehicle finance agreement, when they had directaxis contact me.
5. Should Wesbank decide to proceed with the loading, I will move my business elsewhere.

Lastly would it not be easier and cheaper for Wesbank to have a relationship with leading insurers, and obtain this information directly?
