Tom Tom Device not free

In December 2012 I signed up with Dial Direct and was not made aware that The Tom Tom Start Device is not actually free, but will cost R32.50 every month for 24 Months. I only found out when I called to ask about the device. I spoke to a lady named Buitumelo and asked her to cancel this option, I was told that its not possible. I have not received or taken delivery of the device and I wont be forced into something I wasnt made aware of. If this is how Dial Direct treats their new clients then I wonder what lays ahead in the customer service leading forward.
