In December I received correspondence from Absa requesting that I submit proof of insurance for my car which they financed in 2008. On December 20th, 2012, I forwarded the proof to [Email Removed] as per the instructions on the letter. However despite this, my January statement which i only saw on 30th Jan had an insurance/maintenance charge of R1069, 77 added to my normal installment. The statement date was 10 Jan 2013. I also received a "Notification of Change" letter detailing changes to my original contract with Absa VAF and giving the new installment amount effective from 10 Jan 2013 and this amount didn't include the "insurance/maintenance charge added on my statement. On Jan 31st, I woke up to find that Absa had billed me R7361.90 instead of R6602.15. I need Absa to sort this mess out and to also cancel the value added service product of R310.02 which I do not need a.s.a.p
