ABSA (AVAF) forced debit order for insurance

My vehicle has been financed through absa asset and vehicle finance (AVAF) since april 2008.

I received a letter in the post in early May 2013 from AVAF. The letter states that I am required to provide proof (fax/email) of comprehensive insurance on the financed vehicle to ensure that the contractual relationship has not been breached. It states that I need to provide this information within 30 days of the date indicated on the letter (24 april 2013) and that the in the absence of confirmation ABSA will take out motor comprehensive insurance on my behalf underwritten by hollard insurance. An extra amount of R743.22 will be debited together with the monthly installment to AVAF.

-On 23rd May 2013 (within 30 days) I emailed proof of insurance to [Email Removed]
-On the 10th June 2013 I received an sms stating that an extra amount of R743.22 will be debited from my account as I did not provide proof
-I then called the number on the sms on the 11 June 2013 and they requested I resend the email. The email was resent from my side on that day.
-On 1 July 2013 the extra amount was debited from my account

Such bad service and my hard earned money. Unacceptable ABSA
