SHOCKING SERVICE

My wife was informed by absa that she was required to register her banking with FICA. she went in on the 09 December and emailed them all the required documents and upon phoning them later on the same day (after taking a half day off work to go in to the bank)-she was informed by Tsholofelo that everything was in order and she was now alligned with FICA. Imagine our surprise then this morning when we discover we are not able to do a important internet tranfer (even though we could 2 weeks prior) and are informed when calling the help centre that -SHE IS NOT FICA'd!!! - I am flabbergasted that a "top" bank can not only make such a ridiculous hash and can display such incompetence but the fact that she will have to once again take off work to go into the branch to sort this out will potentially result in a loss of income for a mistake that was not ours to make in the first place. This has seriously made us rethink our choice of bank if this is the level of service we can expect. -absolutely unbelievable!
