I bank at ABSA for more of less than 4 years. I complied to FICA when I applied for the account. From September 2012, suddenly my account is locked because (what they said) I does not complied to FICA. I took in my FICA document in September 2012. December 2012, the same thing happened. I again took in my FICA documents. In March 2013 the same thing happened and I refuse to took in my documents, because, I took it in to the bank in December 2012. In April, it is now the third time in one month that my account is locked because of FICA. I took it in yesterday and today my account was locked again. I want to know what is happening with my account and what are they doing with my documentation. There is enough money in my account, and I am not in over draft. I was never been in over draft, so it is my money that I can not use and make me stand with a red face when I want to pay anything. I was also informed that my credit card account is locked because of FICA. Every time I take the documents to the bank, I was assured by Waseela Botha (branch manager) that she will personally look into the matter. My account is still locked tonight. What must I do to get my money?
