Holding back on my available funds

Someone deposited a cheque into my account which subsequently bounced 3 days later (no surprise). FNB then reversed the cheque. I had a positive balance in my savings account and now NONE of my positive balance is available for the next seven days or unless I visit a branch. Its saturday afternoon at 12h00 when I found this out. Now I have none of my own money available until Monday when I have to schlep myself to a branch and sort this out. This is not fair and FNB are holding on to my money illegally.
