Still being billed for account that I closed

In Nov 2013 I closed my cheque account at the Rivonia branch. All my bank cards were cut up by the consultant, and I walked out with a piece of paper confirming the closure of the account.

I received a statement in my email this morning for the same cheque account that I closed in Nov 2013, and to my horror found that I'm being happily charged the monthly fee and being charged interest on the amount that is now in arrears.

Dear Standard Bank, you may charge the account to your little heart's content, but you won't be getting any money out of me. As far as I'm concerned, the account was closed in Nov 2013. It would be in your best interests to make sure your internal processes work correctly as I'm disgusted that I wasted 5 minutes of my day typing this up for something that should have been wrapped up 2 months ago.
