My father Lionel Harris did not receive a pension payout from September 2013. He enquired and it was due to him not presenting himself as alive. He had moved and not changed address. All the documentation was completed and handed in on the 1st November 2013. On the 13th December 2013 my husband took my father through to the head office in Johannesburg to check what was happening. Ashwin told them that my father was verified and he would receive pension including backpay on the 20th. The 20th came and went and no money. We were later told they closed on the 20th and all pensions were paid out on the 13th December. My father is a sickly person and pays his medical aid out of the pension. As at yesterday he was still not reinstated and once again no pension and a query takes between a week and two. I am reporting them to the PFA. All our savings are now depleted as we have been paying the medical aid.
