My mother is a bed-ridden pensioner of 88 years old in Namibia. My father worked for the South African Government for 42 years. Since January 2013 her pension does not get paid. There is no feedback on complains. It was part of the contract agreements that she will receive pension till the day that she dies. Why is there no response? I am aware of other pensioners from Namibia on the Government Pension Fund that suffers the same problem. In previous years, a hard copy of life certificates were issued where pensioners had to give their thumbprints that we need to forward - this year, just nothing - and no payments. I please need someone to assist and PLEASE do not give me a toll-free number to phone - it CANNOT be dialed from Namibia. My father gratification amount was also reduced significantly after he retired due to a mistake done by the pension fund - no one was interested to assist to get this sorted.
