Just before xmas I saw that my car is using water. We were in the process of going on holiday and thought it prudent to take the car to steve autoclinic. in cape town. they said that the head is cracked. I mentioned that I have a amp warranty where they mentioned that it will take a few days for them to come out. I needed my car and it was close to xmas - 17 December. I said they must carry on with the job and notify amp immediately. They said they would. AMP now mentioned they are not going to pay out a they cannot determine what went wrong. I have not replaced anything in the engine except the head that was cracked and that was available for them to check. they came up that they could not see if I ran out of water etc. Google shows that the prado tends to crack heads and mine was about 60000 km over when that normally happens. I think that the claim is valid and that they could be more forthcoming. I asked them to check with management. Before xmas management would have sat and decided. They never came back to me with an answer and when i phoned them 2 weeks later, they declined and I could hear that it never went to the claims meeting. This is absurd, pse help
