Monument Toyota West Rand fitted an INCORRECT oil filter of a Toyota Corolla to my 2013 Prado VX diesel during it's 20 000km service and the following day, on my way to Botswana at 04:00 in the morning just before Derby, the oil warning light of the vehicle came on. Needless to say, all the engine oil leaked out covering the vehicle underneath and my trailer with oil. Also covering the vehicle following closely behind and being driven by my wife with oil.
What can be expected from Toyota under circumstances like this? I would like Toyota SA to respond and not the dealer represented by a certain Andre Jordan. We obviously do not speak the same language as I have made numerous attempts to come to some sort of amicable arrangement without success.
I would like a new identical Prado without being penalized in any financial way, am I unreasonable? I want to be placed in the position that I was before the incorrect oil filter was installed to my Prado VX that had less than 20000 km on it's odometer.
