R2000 from my account due to ATM!

I am an Absa client and the Absa ATM wasn't working, so I went to try and draw money from the closest ATM, the standard bank ATM next to the Steers at the Woodmead Value Centre in Woodmead. My card was taken in and I was asked for a PIN. Upon putting my pin in I was not given an option of an amount I wished to withdraw. I found this strange but I don't normally use STD Bank ATMs so to immediately pressed the button to cancel the transaction. Still nothing and my card was not returned. At this point, while still standing at the ATM, I realised something was wrong and immediately called Absa Stop Card and requested they close my card. They asked me if I had withdrawn any money on that day and I said NO. To which my bank told me that someone had already withdrawn R2000 from may account. Within minutes! I tried looking for security guards to report this matter but it was raining hard andthere was no one there! I have also written a strongly worded letter to that centre management of that shopping centre and am awaiting a response. I need this matter urgently investigated and my funds returned to me immediately. I will NOT be held liable for criminal hacking and your unsecure atms!
