Do I have to?

Late last year, I called in to request the cancellation of monthly statements being posted to me, I was requested to enter my Pin and Card number, which I wasn't too comfortable doing. I spoke to a consultant who said if I don't want to type in my Pin and Card number, she wont be able to assist me. Rather annoyed, I left the request and am stilling receiving statements via post. This is a nice request to please ask someone to cancel the monthly statements as I make use of the app. My real question to you is, how can you ask me to type in my card number and Pin and can't guarantee that my information is 110% safe?
