ABSA debit card investigation complaint

On 11/2/13 I logged into internet banking & saw my acc was withdrawn out. I stopped the card & called the hotline & my banker. Both advised I go to any branch & log a case. I was traveling & did this in NW.The branch didn't want to help me initially as I am from GP.I was told not to write much in the statement and don't need a SAPS no-the dept does everything & would call me for a proper interview. After redirecting incl being told no such case exists I found my case was declined. I complained & was told that after another thorough investigation my claim was refused as the withdrawals were done in the same area I transact and no attempts were made after the I stopped the card. The original card and not a clone was used. I can prove being in another location when the withdrawals were made. The card was with me. ABSA doesn't care. I must take it up with the ombudsman if I don't agree & I should have gone to the police & made a proper statement when I logged the call with ABSA.The thorough investigation & review didn't take >2 working days in total. I was never called for an interview. Instead of ABSA proving it was me I now have to prove it wasn't me if I hope to get my money.
