ON THE 3RD APRIL 2013 I WENT TO THE ABSA ATM IN DURBAN. BEFORE I COULD PUT MY CARD INTO THE MACHINE A BLACK MAN GRABED THE CARD OUT MY HAND SAYING YOU PUTTING IT IN THE WRONG WAY, HE QUICKLY PUT THE CARD INTO THE MACHINE PRESSES A BUTTON EVERYTHING LIGHTS UP, N WITHIN SECONDS WALKED OFF. WHILE CALLING TO PUT A STOP ON THE CARD I RECEIVED 2 SMS SAYING TOTAL OF R4000.00 WAS WITHDRAWN.I RAN TO THE ABSA TO REPORT IT AND FILLED OUT THE RELEVENT DOCS AND WAS TOLD THAT AN INVESTIGATION WIL BE DONE AND THE VIDEO FOOTAGE WIL BE SEEN AND I WILL BE REFUNDED.I WAS TOLD THAT THE R4000.00 WAS WITHDRAWN AT AN FNB ATM AND THAT MY CARD WAS STILL IN THE MACHINE. I WENT TO ABSA ON THE 22/04 TO FIND OUT THE STATUS ON THE MATTER ONLY TO BE TOLD IT WAS SOUGHTED AND MY CLAIM DECLINED ON THE 9/04 N NO1 BOTHERED TO CALL ME. I SPOKE TO CYNTHIA & TUMI AT DEPT SAID THEY CANNOT REFUND ME CAUSE MY CARD AND PIN WAS USED. I ASKED IF THEY VIEWED THE FOOTAGE HE SAID NO THEY DONT NEED TO CAUSE MY PIN WAS COMPROMISED.I BEGGED TUMI TO VIEW THE FOOTAGE SO THEY WILL CLEARLY SEE THAT I NEVER COMPROMISED MY PIN CAUSE I NEVER EVEN PUT MY CARD INTO THE MACHINE. HE JUST CONTINUED TO SAY THERES NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE
