I recently found that i lost my absa credit card i then called the call centre to block it, i went to the bellville branch to collect it and requested for statement as i did not receive one because i changed address. My card was used for and amount of more than R12.000. Masande the consultant then logged a call for investigation. i waited for more than two weeks with no feedback. Today i went back to the branch and i was told the investigation was cancelled and i am liable to pay the amount. firstly i have lost card protection which i was told it covers the cost when my account has been used, secondly Cecelia did not even bother to contact me or do an investigation on my account, The person who used my account withdraw cash and im sure if they do a proper investigation they can find the footage and see the person who used my card. secondly my card had a pin code and i am the only one who knows my pin, so my question is how did the person who my card find out my pin code. i am so disappointed with absa and i refuse to pay for something i did not use
