I havent been a Standard Bank customer for long and had no major problems with them. It had shocked me today that money from my account just disappears overnight without explanation.
On the 8th January 2014 I made a transaction and as always i received a notification sms, and my balance was still enough to sustain me for the month. The following morning (2014/01/09) i wanted to put petrol, only to find that there is "insufficient funds". I accessed my account on a Standard Bank statement to investigate, and i found about transactions reflecting on 2014/01/08 which I had made long time and when I made those transactions money was deducted from my account and I would receive an sms when it happened.
I'm lodging a complaint with Standard Bank on helo peter because I know the people on their branches are just useless will not have answeres but repeat what I tell them. Now I know why I left the bank last time because they have unrealable systems and that will your money with no explanation.
