I reported water damage to my flat on 21 October and after lots of excuses and various quotes by many contractors until as low a quotes a possible was found by CIA Insurance. The contractor initially agreed to replace the cupboards, carpets and paint the walls, after many and excuses CIA eventually agreed to start work in December after the carpets were already rotten, and I was told that the CIA only authorised the contractor to clean the carpet and fix the cupboard and not paint the walls. Even that work was of such poor workmanship that I could not believe it and they even left all the rumble and waste material on the balcony.
The flat was left in a worse condition then it was before and eventually my tenant moved out.
As an investor I will never buy property where CIA are the insurers and never use them again.
