Service Team headed by Allan Wilkinson were contracted to do alterations, repairs and paint work to a house between April and June 2011. Substantial sums of money were paid to Service Team in the agreed time frame by me. Paint work included painting the exterior of a large double storey house. While the paint work got underway we queried the contractor as to whether the walls had been prepared adequately for painting. He insisted that, yes, they had been well prepared. Repair work included fitting a ceiling to an enclosed balconey room. 18 months after completion of the work paint started peeling at numerous places on the exerior walls of the house. A little while later the ceiling fitted in the balconey room came loose and fell down. Allan Wilkinson was called and emailed numerous times regarding these issues. Photographs of the damage were sent to him. He has consistently ignored appeals to meet with me to come to an amicable resolution of our complaint. To date Wilkinson has made no efforts to return calls and emails. In the mean time the peeling paint problem has grown much worse. Anyone thinking of contracting Wilkinson should be aware of the risks involved.
