I tried to lodge a claim on Sunday 22 nd December, after a motor vehicle accident.
After contacting the 24 hour number and being told that all I would need to do on Monday 23 rd was contact the Claims Centre with my husbands Id number, I spent more than an hour being pushed from pillar to post as no one had the fainest idea what to advise me to do. The problem seemed to be that we were stupid enough to buy our policy through a broker.
I spoke to at least 8 different people, many of them telling me that they would put me through to the Claims Centre.
I assumed that the telephone number for the Claims Centre would automatically put me through there.
This was a farce as I was then put through to the same person a few times and still did not receive any advice.
I was asked to get hold of our broker(who is on leave)to get the policy number .
After this I phoned again and was then told that that was not enough I now needed some other number as well.
I received absolutely no concrete assistance and the whole time spent trying to lodge a claim was complete waste of time.
I shall seriously consider changing Insurers after this dreadful experience.
