I'm still leaving the scars of the poor service at the bank. My account was frozen unnecessary after a withdrawal at the branch. No longer FICA Compliant. I was not informed nor contacted to say what's happening with the account and what necessary steps to take before freezing my account. The funny part is I contacted the customer complaint line for standard bank and all what the guy could say is sorry. Exam Day 29 November 13 I almost missed my exam after a tiring long stressful night. I got to the ATM and my " bank cards" would not work. I'm a pedestrian and therefore I was stranded but unfortunately a callback to someone saved me from missing my test by funding me with a one way trip to get to the test Centre. I come to think of it, " this would have cost me a career that I'm trying to build". On top of that I could not even concentrate during the test fully stress of the situation. I had a terrible headache. I was at the bank previously to update my details and not even a single letter come in my post from standard bank to check if the details I provided are correct as I recently move to JHB. on the same day I went to the bank and yet they gave me a hard time for 2 days.
