Confirmation of banking details

I needed a bank letter confirming my bank account details for my new employer. The letter was done by Standard bank and sent to the Payroll department of my new employer. My new employer was not able to pay me on Payday because Standard bank had provided incorrect details - on a Standard bank letterhead! Lucky the payment was rejected. Imagine if someone had received my salary. And I was only paid 3 days later and this is because my new employer was good enough to waive the Bank confirmation

I emailed Standard bank querying the incorrect banking details. THIS IS THE RESPONSE I GET!!! Can you get any more Pathetic.

It is my pleasure to advise you regarding your account number enquiry.
Kindly be advised that the account number stated on the account confirmation letter is correct, however the last three zeros should be removed put the first two zeros at the begging of your account number, as it should only be nine digits long.
